Our current focus is on teens (13+) and adults. We are not currently treating new clients below age 12, but we are hoping to expand our ages in the future.

Rising Tide Therapy is currently contracted with Florida Blue (In-state, out-of-state and Federal programs), United Healthcare (Optum, BIND, Golden Rule), Oscar Health, Tricare East and Medicare.

If you have another health insurance not listed above, we will gladly provide you with a detailed statement that will allow you to submit a claim for reimbursement.
We do not accept Florida Medicaid or Community Health Plans.

Rising Tide Therapy also accepts self pay clients. Our self-pay rate is $125 for the first session (Clinical Intake & Treatment Planning) and $85 for subsequent therapy sessions.

The wait time to see your counselor for the first time can vary depending on their schedule and availability. Typically, you might expect to get an appointment within a couple weeks, but it could be shorter or longer based on their current caseload as well as your own availability.

Most individual sessions are 1 hour (50 minutes). If the client is a child, these sessions may be 30-45 minutes depending on the child. Couples sessions may be up to 90 minutes.

If you feel that you do not match well with your Therapist, we encourage you to let us know. Our priority is your comfort and progress, and we are happy to assist you in finding you a Therapist who better suits your needs.

Finding our office for the first time might be a bit confusing. Follow these instructions and you’ll arrive just fine:

We are located at 7647 W Gulf to Lake Hwy, Suite 4 in Crystal River. If you are familiar with the area, we are located east of Bowlero Bowling Alley (the old Manatee Lanes Bowling Alley) in a dark brown 2 story building. When you park, look for the double glass doors with NORTH ENTRANCE etched on the door. Just inside this lobby, there is a elevator on the right that you will take to the 2nd floor. Enter through the glass door and our office is located on the left side of the hallway, Suite 4.

At Rising Tide Therapy, we believe couples deserve a space where the relationship itself can be the focus of treatment.

For this reason, couples counseling is offered as a private-pay service and is not billed through insurance.

Health insurance benefits are generally designed to cover medically necessary treatment for an individual who has a diagnosed mental health condition. In true couples counseling, the focus is not the diagnosis or treatment of one individual; rather, the couple and the relationship are the focus of care.

Billing relationship-focused couples counseling to one partner’s insurance can require identifying that person as the patient and documenting treatment as medically necessary for their individual diagnosis. This can change the nature of the service and may not accurately reflect the treatment being provided.

To maintain clear, ethical, and accurate billing practices, Rising Tide Therapy does not submit couples counseling sessions to insurance.

Couples Counseling Rates

60-minute session — $125
90-minute session — $175

Payment is due at the time of service.

Please note that individual psychotherapy remains separate from couples counseling. When treatment is focused on an individual client’s mental health diagnosis and meets medical-necessity requirements, eligible individual therapy services may be billed to insurance according to the client’s plan and benefits.
